INSSAR COLOR GUARD THOMAS COOK MEMORIAL

 

 

On May 12th 2007 there was a Memorial Service and placement of a marker for Thomas Cook a Serg in the Revolutionary War. It took place at the Sand Creek Friends Cemetery south of Columbus, Indiana. The David Benton Chapter and the Daniel Guthrie Chapters of the SAR and the Joseph Hart Chapter of the DAR and the CAR (Children of the American Revolution) all joined hands in providing the service.

The guest speaker was Colonel Barry Richmond the Post Commander of Camp Atterbury Military Installation.  He spoke on Thomas Cook’s life history and the way it has lead us into today’s world.
